Forte Tomas "Tommy"

Tommy is by the Westfalan, Flavigny, out of Ava Novet.

Registered with the RPSI. Awarded Premium Silver and Branded.
Tied for top scoring foal at the inspections held in Oberlin, Ohio.

Tommy went to his first horse show, July 21, 2008. Dressage at Waterloo at the Waterloo Hunt Club in Grass Lake, Michigan. He was the star of the day! In our Yearling Colts and Geldings, Tommy earned a 73.7% giving him 1st place and sending him to the Championship class for Colts and Geldings 3 years old and under. Out of seven very nice young horses, Tommy was placed 3rd! In his breed class, RPSI, he continued with his good streak and took first again with 73.5%. I think that he would have done even better if the flies had not decided to come out and play right before he went into the arena. Even so, I am very pleased with his performance.

Tommy showed at Dressage at Lamplight on 9-27-08. He got second place with a 72.4%. On Sunday, 9-28-08, Tommy competed in the Series Final. Though he did not place, he gave his all! We are very proud of him! We look forward to showing him next year when he will be less likely to have a big growth spurt before a show!

Flavigny is a 2002, 17 hand imported Westfalan. Flavigny is by Florestan I out of La Granja by Lanthan. Currently he is approved by the Zweibrucker, Rheinland Pfalz-Saar.

In 2005, Flavigny was USDF DSHB Reserve Champion 3 year old colt with an overall score of 81.05%. He was also the 2005 USDF/Cosequin Southern Series Breeders Championships, Colt Champion with 85.9%

Novet is a 1992 Anglo-Trakehner, registered with the American Warmblood Society. In 2001, she was approved for breeding with the German Oldenburg Verband. She has been a joy in our family since 1995. She is a versatile mare. She has done well both in dressage and in the hunters at local shows. Yet she is quiet enough to take out on the trails. Her wonderful temperament and nice conformation was the reason why we decided to involve her in our breeding farm.
