Tommy and Maggie went to their first horse, July 21, 2008.  Dressage at Waterloo at the Waterloo Hunt Club in Grass Lake, Michigan.  Tommy was the star of the day!  In our Yearling Colts and Geldings, Tommy earned a 73.7% giving him 1st place and sending him to the Championship class for Colts and Geldings 3 years old and under.  Out of seven very nice young horses, Tommy was placed 3rd!  The Champion Colt & Gelding was the Grand Champion of the show.  In his breed class, RPSI, he continued with his good streak and took first again with 73.5%.  I think that he would have done even better if the flies had not decided to come out and play right before he went into the arena.  Even so, I am very pleased with his performance.
Maggie also did very well.  She was well behaved and gave her all.  I can not ask for more!  In her first class, Two Year Old Fillies, she did well, but not enough to place.  She was pulled right out of the stall and went into the arena.  I think I should have lunged her a little to loosen her up.  She is not use to such a small stall.  Her Oldenburg Breed class she was presented with a respectable 74.0% giving her 4th place.  I am very pleased with her.  Both of my "Babies" were perfect in my eyes.  I agree with all the judge's comments, so I have no complaints.  This was a good experience for both of them.

New videos of Bella, Maggie and Tommy are in the making.  Hope to be able to get them out soon.  Keep a lookout for them.

Tommy was gelded in March.  The procedure went well and Tommy is taking this in stride.  Thank you to Sherry White!  Tommy is currently with her and her colt San Morant, "Sammy".  Tommy is enjoying having a friend who is the same age.  He is also enjoying the male bonding.  They both got gelded on the same day, so they were able to cry on each others shoulders  :)
